In August of 1993, 12 independent produce companies formed

what is known today as

"Pan-Hellenic Foods of NY" 

a wholesale distributor of fresh fruits & vegetables

"When everyone else is sleeping we are working for our clients"

While the original focus of the company was to act as a direct receiver of product to negotiate "better, direct purchases"; the company has since grown to acquire 5 separate warehouses to facilitate its current sales volume. This growth spurt has been regarded by many in the industry as "extra ordinary" by comparison to many other distributors currently operating in Hunts Point Market.

Pan-Hellenic is a member of PACA and is actively involved in all national forums regarding any new developments occurring in today’s ever changing agricultural marketplace. In addition to maintaining an aggressive growth plan for the future, the company plans to distribute product to end users on a direct basis.
